Truth Tuesday

A little Truth Tuesday for all my friends.
  • Claire has always loved trying on my socks, shoes and sun glasses. The other day she decided that she was ready to start wearing a bra. Right after her bath she ran to my room, looped my bra around her, and ran through the house saying, "Ma ma ma ma ma." She thought it was pretty fun.

  • Don't order swim suits online. Ever. It won't fit, I promise.
  • My nephew, Gavin, told me that snuggling with me is more fun than traveling through space. Apparently I'm pretty good at snuggling.
  • I never take more than three diapers to church on Sunday. If a parent needs to do more than three diaper changes in the three hours at church, it's time to just give up and go home.
  • Richie was helping Claire eat her dinner the other day. I glanced over to watch and saw Richie swat at Claire's fork. She had been trying to eat a piece of broccoli, but he instead stabbed her fork into a piece of steak. I think he's trying to brain-wash her into loving meat.
  • The picture below still makes me angry. See the little boy/girl looking at Claire? Well I built a tower for Claire to tip over, and that snotty little kid ran over and tipped it over before Claire could. Claire's look of confusion/sadness was enough to break my heart. A warning to everyone: don't mess with my little angel. Not unless you want the mama bear side of me to come out. ;)
  • Claire is going into nursery at church in two weeks. I think I need to mentally prepare myself, because I'm sure there'll be plenty of kids that steal her toys and knock over her towers.
  • I've read 5 books this past week. Have I ever mentioned on this blog that I'm a book worm? I love reading. I don't understand people that don't love books.
Happy Tuesday everybody!

We swam one afternoon at the hotel in California. Claire had a complete blast! We're going to have to swim A LOT this Summer.

Richie is such a hunk.

We loved playing with Gavin and Griffin in the pool. They're both fast little swimmers.

Claire loves wearing sun glasses. She also likes taking them off.

Gavin and Griffin.

Claire loved jumping from the edge of the pool into our arms.

Apparently toddlers are better at smiling straight into direct sunlight than adults.

Brynn looked so cute in her ruffley swim suit.

Our little family.

Claire playing with her BFF, Brynn.

Playing with Daddy.

Gavin loved playing with Uncle Richie.

Gavin and Griffin chased my foot around the pool for quite a while. My foot is pretty fun.

Claire is so cute. Look at her. She's like, "I OWN this pool."

California-Gavin's Birthday

We flew to California last week with Grandma G to celebrate Gavin's birthday. It was so much fun! The cousins played together so well. Claire has asked for Brynn (pronounced "bin") every day since we've been home. We went swimming, shopping, we ate a lot, we went to the Children's Discovery Museum, and we (of course) celebrated Gavin's B day. The museum and swimming will be separate posts (we went a little picture-happy those places), but the rest will all be one post because I didn't take many pictures otherwise.

Claire loved watching the planes fly in and out of the airport. The flight there was so relaxing--Claire switched between Richie's lap and grandma's lap. Who said that flying with toddlers was hard? :)

We went to Chevy's on Saturday to celebrate my birthday. Claire loved the salsa. She would scoop a bunch onto the chip, lick it off, and repeat. We have a double-dipper on our hands. It's funny how much she loves spicy things.

We went on a walk in Kathie's awesome triple-stroller.  This stroller gets applauded by strangers, it's that amazing.

Brynn loves me (and I love her). She'll look at me and give an enthusiastic "HI!" Not everyone is privileged enough to get waves out of her. :)

It was so fun to see Landon. He needs to finish school so he can move back to Utah. (Landon flies to Utah next week to visit. Yay!)

My mom was loving getting to snuggle with all the grand babies.

Gavin turned five. I can't believe it!

He opened lots of presents from grandma and one small one from us.

Happy Birthday Gavin!
